All you Need to Know about Synthetic Grass

Looks are everything, they say. The importance of great looks for a property cannot be overstated. Although a large amount of investors ignore investing time in finding techniques to improve the looks of their property, a good looking property has a reasonable advantage against competitors. Landscaping is one such important technique. Of all the means used in landscaping, synthetic turf is continuously gaining popularity. It stays blooming throughout the year regardless of the climate and terrain. Most importantly, it has an all-weather synthetic design, and can therefore fit in almost any budget plan.

The durability of synthetic turf is remarkable. It will take and defy every negative force thrown at it. For instance, it will still last on walkways and other areas of heavy usage. Is the imagination of no muddy areas, no muddy dogs, no more slippery surfaces, exhilarating? That is exactly what it does; it changes your life completely. Dead patches of natural grass usually require replacement. With synthetic grass, that will be something of the past.

Cutting down your cleaning list is not the only benefit of synthetic grass. Of also great significance, it relieves you of the burden and distress of maintaining the lawn. With fake grass, lugging the lawn mower with you will no longer be a bother. Fake grass eliminates the need to bend down to the grass for long and gruelling hours of removing unwanted plants and weeds. The implication of this is saving on time, money and your precious energy.

Since synthetic grass does not need mowing, watering, application of pesticides and fertilizers like natural grass, it is a saviour to both your pocket and the environment. The fact that artificial grass needs no water, it ideal for places where the resource is scarce or in areas with sprinkler bans. Additionally, it is estimated that 75% of residential water goes into watering lawns during hot seasons. This can take a toll on one’s bank account, making synthetic turf a wise choice.

Professional use

For sports grounds, there exists no other option other than artificial grass. Their playability is simply higher than a field with natural grass. It is common to see innumerable matches being cancelled during rainy seasons. Without artificial grass, it would be so hard to hold matches at such times. It is important to note that if one or two matches face cancellation, messing up the whole season is inevitable. Municipalities and government authorities wishing to erect playgrounds have no other choice but artificial grass.

Nevertheless, just like almost everything else in the world, synthetic grass has a dark side. First, the initial expenditure of installing artificial grass may be a little high compared to the natural option. Secondly, the rubber cushion below the synthetic grass may demand for occasional filling to maintain the bouncy feel. During hot seasons like summer, synthetic grass may absorb heat to unpleasant levels. Although still under investigation, there exist fears that the chemicals that go into the synthetic turf during manufacture are hazardous. Although manufacturers argue that health standards are met during manufacture of synthetic grass.
