The best way to prevent garden furniture from deteriorating is to pack it away in a garden shed or outbuilding where it will be protected from the elements however this is not always an option especially if the furniture is large and does not fold away. It may be necessary to leave the furniture in the garden and cover it with either a purpose made cover or by using a large waterproof tarpaulin sheet.
